Getting started: Travel on a Budget

You won’t be surprised to know that the most common thing people ask me is 'How do you afford it?'

Well, basically, it’s EASY! There are a few little tips and tricks that I’m going to share with you now!

Flying into Malaga Airport, Spain.

Be adventurous Be willing to travel anywhere and everywhere! If you just have a set plan in your head you won’t be able to make the most from the ridiculously CHEAP flights!

Be open minded If I mention the word Hostel to some people, they screw up their faces in disgust! I get Hostels aren't your luxury 5* hotel, but some really aren’t far from it! They’re a GREAT way to meet like-minded travelers, (especially if you're travelling alone), and cost half the PRICE of any hotel!

Be organised While living each day as it comes, and deciding where you plan to go minutes before you catch your next train, it isn’t always practical. If you know you want to travel Eastern Europe, look at the cheapest routes before you start travelling. These will usually be the shortest in distance too, and as a fellow traveler, you’ll understand how precious TIME is whilst adventuring!

Be friendly Literally, the amount of FREE STUFF you can get with a smile is unreal! Listen to other travelers & hostel staff, as they may know about FREE tours, or bar crawls. Some hostels even offer FREE FOOD on certain days! Obviously, free drinks are always a bonus (especially in Amsterdam & Switzerland as they’re extremely pricey!). I’ve been given everything from handmade jars & glasses to dog tags from a stag party! (They didn’t come in too useful though haha)

Walking the streets of Pompeii, Italy.

Good luck planning your adventures! Any questions send me an email or get on touch through any of the social media links at the bottom of my page!
